Standard Safe Classifications

To understand how our safes are classified, here is a brief explanation of the labels you'll find on them.

Fire Protection – Two-Hour 1850° or One-Hour 1700°

Gardall fire-resistive safes meet or exceed Underwriters' Laboratories specifications for explosion, fire endurance and drop tests.

Two-Hour exposure to severe fire with an exterior temperature to 1850°F, and an interior temperature that does

not exceed 350°F (paper chars at 405°F) for two hours and cool down.

One-Hour exposure to severe fire with an exterior temperature to 1700°F, and an interior temperature that does

not exceed 350°F (paper chars at 405°F) for one hour and cool down.

Residential Security Container Burglary Label

Gardall's 2-Hour Burglary Fire (pg. 2), BF (pg. 4) and FB (pg. 7) models have passed the U.L.-

R.S.C. label test for burglary protection.

Burglary Protection

Gardall safes with the Class "B" or Class "C" Burglary Insurance Rating allow you to receive insurance coverage in accordance with the Broad Form and Mercantile Safe Insurance classifications. Pertinent insurance information is available from Insurance Service Office, 160 Water Street, New York, NY 10038.

Gardall safes can be supplied with an Underwriters' Laboratory Group II combination lock, U.L. listed key-op lock, U.L. listed dual key lock or a U.L. listed push button electronic lock.

Gardall Lifetime Replacement Warranty

Gardall Safe Corporation assures to the original end consumer, replacement – free of charge – of any Gardall Fire-Resistive Record Safe damaged beyond repair by fire with a then-current production model of a comparable value. This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of any warranty of merchantability, fitness for particular purpose or other warranties of qualities, whether expressed or implied, and of all other liabilities and obligations on the manufacturer's part.

Gardall Safe Corporation reserves the right to inspect any record safe prior to replacement. Copies of insurance reports or documents pertaining to fire loss will be furnished to Gardall Safe Corporation upon request.

Gardall Safe Corporation specifically assumes no liability for installation or other charges incurred by the owner in connection with the replacement of any record safe and assumes no liability for damage to contents or personal property contained in any such file or any consequential damages of any nature or description.

These Gardall fire resistive safes are designed and tested to withstand severe fire with outside temperatures reaching 1750°F for two hours. Safe interior temperatures will not exceed 350°F within two hours. The charring of paper occurs at 405°F. All Gardall fire resistive safes provide a comfortable margin that protects your valuables. But these models don't stop at just fire protection. They also have Class "B" burglary resistive features built in right at the factory.

And don't forget, every fire insurance policy states that "proof of loss" is required for claims. When your business or personnel inventories are locked inside a Gardall fire resistive safe, your "proof of loss" is protected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Manufacturers 2-Hour Fire Label

A safe similar in construction was tested by an independent testing facility. The furnace temperature reached 1750°F for a period of time exceeding 2 hours, before the interior of the safe reached 350°E.

All BF safes were tested by the manufacturer along side a U.L. listed one-hour fire safe in an independent fire testing facility. The BF safe actually outperformed the U.L. fire safe by 15 minutes. The exterior of the safe was heated to 1700°F for one hour and during that time the interior temperature of the safe was less than 270°F. A letter of certification is available upon request. All BF safes carry Gardall's Lifetime Replacement Guarantee.

Gardall offers a full range of U.L. approved fire resistive microwave style safes. These safes are made to Gardall's exact specifications and brought to you with the same care and quality you have come to expect

from Gardall. Microwave style safes come with either a single key or electronic style lock. All fire safes have plated interlocking bolts that extend into the safe walls to prevent tampering and removal of doors. The doors are precision built of extra heavy steel, full swinging on heavy duty hinges with interlocking, tongue and groove closure on all sides of the door frame. All safes come with a center bolt down hole and hardware to anchor the safe down.

Designed to protect money collection where immediate deposit is required. Deposit can be made into the safe while the door is locked. Exclusive baffle design prevents contents from being removed through the entry opening. Hopper rotor is built into safe body and cannot be removed to gain access to the safe.

Commercial Light Duty Depository/ Undercounter Safes

When price is the objective, these safes may be your solution. With a 1/2" plate steel door and a formed

door jam, these safes will resist most sledgehammer attacks. Safes have four anchor holes and an independent relocker for increased burglary protection.
