• Notes: 1. Place shims, as required. Use (1) shim for each 1/8" (3.2 mm) of device lift needed. When mounting the device, position shims as shown, using the installation instructions packed with the unit. Use longer screws provided.
• 2. For Rim Device, strike and shim locations, see illustration below.
• 3. For Concealed Vertical Rod Device, see yoke pin shim location per illustration on reverse side.

Yoke Pin Shim Location

Spindle Assembly

TRIM SERIES DIM "A" Wide Stile 5/16" (8 mm)

Surface for Dim "A".

RHR: 651F62-8 (Blue) LHR: 651F61-8 (Red)

CAUTION: When removing the spindle assembly from the trim, keep the clutch spring and screws, they are needed for reassembly. When finished, check the lock and unlock function before mounting. Refer to Figure 1 for sizing the tailpiece to the door thickness and shims.

For Thumbpiece Applications: Thumbpiece applications follow the same procedure as above, but the original smaller drive plate must be used with the new tailpiece included in the kit. To do this remove the cylinder housing assembly and the original spindle assembly from the trim (steps 1 & 2 above). Remove the retaining ring from both spindle assemblies, switch the tailpieces and reassemble (longer Corbin Russwin, Inc. tailpiece to

the smaller drive plate) with a retaining ring.
